An Interview with Jennifer Shaw
Both a special needs and adoptive mom, Shaw is also a Telly Award-winning speaker, author, singer, songwriter, and five-time Billboard Top 40 artist who never thought she’d be doing what she’s doing now. Jennifer Shaw is an advocate for those diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and Sensory Processing Disorder and she stays active with World Vision. Jennifer has shared the stage with many artists including Natalie Grant, Audio Adrenaline, and Big Daddy Weave.
Jennifer and her husband have three biological children, and in the last years have adopted three children from China. Traveling overseas as a Compassion International artist, Jennifer learned that orphans who had medical issues and were above the age of 3 almost never got adopted, which led Jennifer and her family to purposefully choose older children who required medical attention. Noah, Ethan, and Anna (ages 7-11) have found their forever family with the Shaws. She and her family live in Columbus, OH.
